Phillip "Pixs" Merchant, founder of D.A.P.P. Band, reggae artist, musician, music producer, and former bassist of Midnite Band from St. Croix, was critically wounded on January 9, 2009, in a random shooting that also left three other innocent bystanders wounded. Phil’s condition has improved, yet he will need extensive therapy. His recently released solo album, “Shift the Energy” is being offered through Mt. Nebo Records for a limited time for 14.00, with all proceeds going directly to Phil. Benefit concerts are planned in the month of March in support of Phil and his family:
