Living With Yourself is the hottest Netflix comedy to release since Dead to Me and if you’ve already flown through all eight episodes, you’re probably looking forward to a second season. Here’s what we know about season 2 of Living With Yourself including where we expect the story to head and most importantly, has the series been renewed for a second season?

The new comedy starring Paul Rudd, Aisling Bea and Alia Shawkat among many others is written and produced by Timothy Greenberg who is mainly known for his work on The Daily Show and The Detour on TBS.

Although most of the media attention seems to be on the fact that Tom Brady featured in a short cameo which somehow is getting outrage, we’re going to focus on the series as a whole.

It’s instantly become a hit for Netflix and therefore, you’re probably wondering if there’s going to be a season 2.

Has Living With Yourself been renewed for season 2?

Official renewal status: Not yet renewed (last updated: 10/20/2019)

Sadly, only the first season of the show was originally commissioned but not to worry, this is normal. Netflix doesn’t give renewals to most debut shows

We are currently expecting Netflix to renew a second season but we probably won’t hear about the renewal until December 2019.

Will there be enough material for a second season? We’ll take a look at that in what we can expect from season 2 of Living With Yourself below.

What to expect from season 2 of Living With Yourself

The main plotline is that we’re likely going to be seeing both Miles living together going into season 2.

To recap, new Miles intended to die at the end of season 1 with himself unable to commit suicide. Leaving the gun on the table for old Miles, he wasn’t able to kill new Miles either. That leads to a tussle which leads to a hug and then an interruption.

In the interruption, we hear that Miles (who knows which one) is going to soon be a Dad and with no way of testing whose it is, they’re all in this together.

Old Miles got a call earlier in the episode to tell him he was capable of having children.

Dan (played by Desmin Borges) could be a problem going forward. He is one of the few who knows about how clones work and seemed like a changed man when he and new Miles departed.

The creator (Timothy Greenberg) has said that the series central question is “of identity and if you really could sit with another you, how would that make you feel, what would you think about seeing yourself from the outside is really interesting,”. We hear the FDA agent talk about something similar so expect season 2 to see her return should her department get the funding it desperately requires.

Also, the creator talked about the ending and what we could expect going into a second season. “They’ve solved the immediate problem, but I think there’s a lot more meaningful things to be dug into in the future about how they need to grow and learn.”

Variety also learned about the future plans of the show saying:

Greenberg’s longer-term plan for the show, should Netflix renew it, is not only to see more from these three essential characters but also to expand the world around them.
