It’s time to take a look at what’s headed to Netflix over the next 7 days where we cover all Netflix releases in the United States coming between October 21st and October 27th.

Let’s take you through a few of the highlights and then move onto the full list. Remember, we have the full list compared to the likes of BGR and LifeHacker who also post weekly lists.

Next week, we’ll be covering some of the brand new titles scheduled for November which should hopefully include the November 1st additions.

Free Fire (2017)

Type: Movie

Monday, October 21st

Our first pick of the week is also our movie highlight too. Starring Brie Larson who seems to be the ultimate marmite of the internet at the moment stars in this moody crime comedy set in Boston in 1978.

The movie is about a meeting that goes sour and turns into a game of survival. Reviews were generally kind with it sitting at a 63 on Metacritic and a 6.4 on IMDb.

The movie comes from A24 which have been a solid supplier of Netflix movies over the past few years.

Daybreak (Season 1) Netflix Original

Netflix Release Date: Thursday, October 24th

Releasing on Thursday (which is generally releases their B-tier content) is Daybreak, a new zombie teen series that could go one of two ways at this point.

The movie is about a post-apocalyptic world that’s about a man who’s searching for his missing girlfriend.

10 episodes are due out on Thursday.

Echo in the Canyon (2018)

Also arriving on Netflix on Thursday is an excellent music documentary that features big names such as The Beach Boys, members from The Beatles, The Byrds, The Mamas and the Papas and more.

It takes a look at the roots of the historic music scene of Los Angeles’s Laurel Canyon.

The Untamed / Chen qing ling (Season 1)

Type: TV Series

Netflix has managed to secure the streaming rights for one of the biggest Chinese TV series for quite some time.

The epic fantasy sees warring clans, epic fight scenes and more. If you’re a fan of international fantasy series, do not miss this.

We’re not sure if all 50 episodes will be releasing or whether Netflix will split them up but by Friday, we’ll know.
